Rick Anthony Estrada

Rick A. Estrada, 53, of Ontario, passed away at home on October 6th 2017. He was born August 28, 1964 in Ontario to Robert & Margaret Estrada. 

Rick was a wild & crazy spirit, he was brave, daring, fearless, and tough as nails but his heart was as big as his smile. He would go out of his way to help his family & friends with whatever they needed. He once saved a Father and his two children from drowning, that's just the kind of person he was, he would step up when no one else would.

He was always up for an adventure or mischief and wasn't one to sit still for long. He had a passion for cars and fixing things and you could always find him under the hood of a car or tinkering with something to figure out how it worked or trying to fix it if it didn't. He worked various jobs as a mechanic and auto body repair, his last job was working for Larry’s Auto Body in Ontario where he worked for many years and became great friends with Larry & his family. 

Rick loved and adored his daughter Shaylene and his grandkids; Marco, Sky & Blaze, they were his world. His Mom, Margaret was his rock, he truly loved and appreciated everything she did for him. Once a month he would take her out to dinner and would always tell her he didn’t know what he would do without her. We would like to give a special thanks to Rick's dear friend Megan who was there everyday to check up on him and help in whatever way she could.  
The love of his life was his beloved pitbull, Melina, he had her since she was a pup and the bond they shared was beyond words. She loved Rick as much as he loved her and protected him fiercely. The day he had to put her down was one of the hardest days of his life; he missed her dearly and often talked about how he couldn't wait to see her again.

We were blessed to be able to spend one last birthday with Rick. He was so happy that his family and friends came out to celebrate his special day with him. It is a memory we will treasure forever. Rick we will miss you dearly but you will live on in our hearts forever. 

Rick was preceded in death by his father, Robert Frank Estrada, his older brother Robert Lee Estrada and a nephew Andrew Daniel Estrada.
He is survived by his mother, Margaret, daughter, Shaylene (Marco), grand kids; Marco, Blaze & Sky, Brothers, Mike & Albert, Sisters, Erika & Cecilia (Danny), Gena & Linda Boxberger, Brad & Chris Byers, Megan R. and numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles & cousins.

Services for Rick will be held on Saturday, October 21st at 10:00 am at the Catholic Church in Ontario.
