Vanna Lene Dixon of Meridian, Idaho went home to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 21 at the age of 78 with family by her side. A graveside memorial service will be held Thursday, Dec. 29 at 10:30 am in Payette Idaho at Rosedale Memorial Gardens under the direction of Haren-Wood Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Dixon was born August 16, 1944 in Nampa Idaho to Van and Lillian Cooper. She graduated from Fruitland High School and shortly after married her sweetheart Dennis Bingaman. They had 2 boys, Gregg and Dennis Jr. At an very early age Mr. Bingaman passed away. Eventually Vanna met John Dixon and married him. They had twin boys, Philip and James. She loved her sons with all her heart and they were her pride and joy. After her and John got a divorce she entered the work force as a CNA. She loved working with the elderly and ensuring they received the best care she could give. She was a member of the Order Eastern Star in Payette. Some of her favorite past times were camping, fishing, crocheting, and other crafts, and especially going to the cabin in Cascade where she loved to swim and ride motorcycles. Vanna was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Naomi Sager, and her first husband Dennis. Survivors include: Her brother Terry Cooper of Coeur d’ Alene; four sons, Gregg Bingaman, Dennis Bingaman, and James Dixon of Meridian, and Philip Dixon of Boise; and multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren. A special thanks to Journeys Hospice and Anthony Garcia whom extended the warmest care possible in her final days.
