Ted Allen Pursifull was born to Cedric and Velta Pursifull on November 18, 1937 in Huntington, Indiana and passed away at his home in Idaho on February 25, 2019 at the age of 81.
Ted joined the USAF where he spent 2 years in Japan and 2 years in the US. After 4 years of service, he was honorably discharged.
He married Catherine (Cathy) Nicholson on October 12, 1963 at SS Peter and Paul's Church in Huntington, IN. They moved to Wisconsin where Ted took a job as a supervisor, building chicken incubators throughout the world.
Ted was an avid hunter and fisherman with his favorite hunting area being Rock Creek Canyon in Buffalo, Wyoming. After being in Sheridan, Wyoming for 25 years working as a master electrician, Ted and Cathy moved to Idaho. Through the years Ted, Cathy, and daughters enjoyed horses, elk & deer hunting, and fishing. He was an avid Notre Dame fan and enjoyed training border collies.
Ted is survived by his wife Cathy of 55 years, 3 daughters, Christina (Greg) Anderson of Johns Creek GA , Angela (Raul) Perez of Meridian ID, Anna (David) Cochran of Westfield IN, 8 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. He was very proud of his daughters.
Ted was the 3rd of 6 children. 3 brothers have preceded him in death and he is survived by 2 sisters (Sally Eschenbacher and Betty Keller).
Arrangements are being handled by Haren-Wood Funeral Chapel in Payette, ID. A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
