Sylvia Tijerina

Sylvia Parras Tijerina, 63, of Ontario, Oregon passed away at home on Saturday,  June 29, 2024.

Sylvia was born on October 11, 1960 in Tulia, Texas to Victor and Adelfa Parras. She was the youngest daughter of 9 children.

After being a stay-at-home mom to raise her 3 daughters. She attended Idaho State University obtaining an Associates in Medical Office Technology. After retiring from the medical field, she dedicated her time to her grandchildren, daughters, friends and family. She was honorary nana to multiple children. Sylvia loved creating beautiful crafts, which she often gifted to those she loved.

She was a rare gem, a one-of-a-kind caring, loving and giving person. She had the most beautiful smile and her laughter was contagious. Sylvia touched the hearts of everyone who met her.

Sylvia is survived by her daughters, Aurora Amy Godina (Julian), Yolanda Tijerina-Rangel (Cori), Laurie Araujo, 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and her siblings.  Sylvia is preceded in death by her parents Victor Parras Sr. and Adelfa Fuentes, her brother Victor Parras Jr. and her sister Elvira Herrera.

Sylvia will be greatly missed. We love you to the moon and back!
