Steve never spent any time with his father and was raised with his seven siblings by their Mother in Vancouver, WA.

Steve enjoyed living in Vancouver and he spent his years as a teen and young adult enjoying life to the fullest. His marriage to his first wife Kathy Baker in 1973 gave him his son, Steven Thomas Borwieck, but they later divorced.  He enlisted in the Marines during the Vietnam war and served until his discharge in the late 1970’s.  He returned to Vancouver, WA and worked as an RV Technician for Gresham RV in Oregon until he met and married his true love, Cristina Dunbrasky.  They married in Vancouver and moved to Payette, ID in 2001. They soon became parents to their children, Veronica and Domingo (Deano) Rodriguez.  Steve became highly active in the kids’ school and sporting activities becoming one of the Payette Sports Boosters biggest supporters. During this time Steve also worked with the local Eagles Lodge, holding many offices and the local NA group, where he recently celebrated earning his 25-year clean chip.

Steve continued working as an RV Technician until an injury forced his change of vocation.  At the time of his death Steve was a bus driver for the Malheur Council on Aging. Steve enjoyed this job and he was appreciated by his clients.

When not cheering on the home team, Steve cheered on the Dallas Cowboys and the Boise State Broncos.  He also enjoyed camping and fishing and grilling over the BBQ, riding his ATV and sledding in the winter snow.
