Perry Allen Tolman

September 18, 1947 ~ February 13, 2020 (age 72)

Obituary

Perry Allen Tolman passed away on February 13th, 2020 from complications of Polycystic Liver Disease.

Perry was born to George Elza Tolman and Clara May Judd on September 18, 1947, in Ontario, Oregon. He was raised with his 6 siblings on a dairy farm in Vale, Oregon and graduated from Vale High School in 1965.

Perry served an honorable mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Argentina. He later met Connie Lee Morgan and they were married in the Idaho Falls Temple in May 1970. Together they built a happy home and loving family with their four children.

He served in the Oregon National Guard and the U.S. Army. He then worked for the U.S. Postal service as a mail carrier for 28 years where he was loved and appreciated by many.

Perry was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where he served faithfully as a Stake High Council member, Scout Master, Bishop, Membership Clerk, and other callings. He loved to serve and was always willing to work.

He and his wife were able to fulfill their dream of serving a service mission for the church together for the past 6 ½ years working with FamilySearch helping with family history work. He loved to go to the Temples and served there often.

Perry’s greatest joy has always been his family. He was an active and supportive husband, father, and grandfather who taught his values of loyalty, dependability, hard work, generosity, and humor. Most of his hobbies involved being in nature because he felt closer to his Father in Heaven during those times. He and his wife also went on several service missions to Guatemala and did a lot of work for them.

He lived a life of service and was a true example of selfless Christ-like love to others. He is very loved and his warm smile and infectious laughter will be greatly missed. He leaves a great legacy full of amazing people who are a reflection of his life and what he believed. For him there is no greater reward for his time here.

He is survived by his wife, Connie, his children, Nathan (Satina), Karinda (Kristopher), Brennan, and Veronica. Sixteen grandchildren and one great granddaughter. He is also

survived by his Mother, Clara, his siblings, Georgia, David, Clayton, Janice, Karen, and Mike.
