Patricia (Lawrence) Franek

Patricia Alice Franek, 87, of Ontario, Oregon, passed away on June 2, 2025, after a brief illness. She was the third of seven children born to Frank David Lawrence and Sarah Leone Lawrence. When she was four, the family moved from Alliance, NE, to Ontario, OR.

In 1957, she married Ernest ‘Ernie’ Edward Franek Sr. Together, they raised their four children.

She worked on the farm, driving truck during corn harvest. Everyone looked forward to her sticky-bottom cinnamon rolls and her pies during family get-togethers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Sarah, sisters, Grace McHargue and Frances Burgess, her brother Frankie, and her brothers-in-law, James McHargue and Gale Olson.

She is survived by her husband of almost 68 years, Ernie, her four children, Cindy, Ernest Edward Jr. ‘Ed’ (Sheila), Robert, and Douglas (Kim), sisters Barbara Olson, Susan (Buckley) Plummer, Kathy (Mike) Glenn, her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is planned for Friday, June 13 from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. at R & L Event Center, 633 2nd Avenue South, Payette, ID.
