Enid Raymond Brossard Jr., 79, passed away on April 27, 2026. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
Enid served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and fought in Vietnam.
He was born in Redding, California, and spent his youth in Fort Bragg, California. He loved hunting and fishing. He often helped his father on his commercial fishing boat, Star of Madera. He fished the ocean for salmon and albacore, and the rivers of Northern California for salmon and steelhead – fly fishing, drift and jet boating with his nephews and friends.
Enid worked more than 20 years in the Louisianna Pacific sawmill after Vietnam. He later left the sawmill to become a drug and alcohol counselor and worked many years in Ukiah, California for Lucky Deuce until he retired in 2013.
He was married to Susan Brossard. They shared 15 wonderful years together and were married October 28, 2013. They moved to Idaho in 2014 after retiring. They had wonderful motorhome adventures together, visiting friends and family in California, Oregon and Washington.
Enid is survived by his sister, Coral Lee Woodard, his children Charrish Silva, Sara Lynch and Jeffrey Brossard, and his grandchildren Colt Piver and Emily Brossard.
Enid’s ashes will be scattered by his family later this year in one of the fishing rivers he loved so much. There are no services planned at this time.
