Dana Lee Nelson passed away peacefully Monday, Dec. 16, 2019, in Ontario.
Born Jan. 3, 1956, in Nyssa, Oregon, to Glen Everett Frederiksen and Eva Lee Drown.
Dana grew up in Nyssa and graduated from Nyssa High School.
She married Roy Kent Nelson on August 6, 1982 in the Idaho Falls Temple. To this union five children were born.
She is survived by her father, Glen Frederiksen of Emmett, former husband, R. Kent (Yvonne) Nelson, of Ontario; children, Kelby (Karesa) Nelson, of Burley, Kindra (Myron) Webster, of Fruitland, Keila (Brennen) Mass, of Fruitland, and Keston Nelson, of Fruitland; 11 grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters, Dellas (Nancy) Frederiksen, Darin (Sherri) Frederiksen, Tammi (Lynn) Walker, and Landi Ray; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Eva Lee, brother Drew, sister Darvi, and stillborn daughter Daila,
She lived a life full of service to family, church, and community. Dana drove harvest truck every fall for Corn Farms for 28 years and loved the opportunity it gave her to rub shoulders with friends and help provide for her family. She had many talents including quilting, woodworking, crafts, and family history.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Ontario Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Stake Center located at 1705 NW 4th Ave under the direction of Haren-Wood Funeral Home. There will be a viewing at 10 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Rosedale Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Payette.
