Bill Josey Obituary

William (Bill) Kirk Josey

May 20, 1971- Dec. 6, 2025

Bill went home to Heaven on Dec. 6th, 2025 in Payette, Idaho at the young age of 54. He was a son, a father, a husband and a brother to many people in his life that loved him dearly and whom he loved with all of his heart as well.

Bill was born in Torrance, CA and as a child also lived in Illinois, Wisconsin, and finally Idaho. While growing up in Kuna, Idaho, Bill attended school and enjoyed rural life. During the summers he would work in the farm fields with his older sister and also mow lawns. He helped care for his younger brother and 2 younger sisters. Bill had a passion for cars and trucks, especially Fords. He learned to work on motors with his uncle Joe and throughout his life he was eager to help others with their Fords! Bill was the only guy we knew that was excited to find someone in a ditch just so he could pull them out with his Ford!

Being outdoors was something Bill always loved, whether it was work or play. He was a very hard worker and had a few different great outdoor jobs throughout his life. At one point, he even started his own business and did very well. He enjoyed working for his son Alex, helping grow his fencing business. When he wasn’t working, Bill loved to be playing games with family, camping or driving one of his Ford Broncos through the mud! He loved to go out and play in the dirt with his kids or his brother Tim. They went through a lot of cars between the two of them!

When Bill was in his 20s he became a stepdad to his son Nathan (Christesen) and later became a first time father to his son Alex and then another son, Zachary. Fourteen years ago, Bill met the love of his life, Brianna. With Brianna he became a stepdad to daughter Bella and then added another son, Paxten. Bill loved to be with Brianna and his children whenever possible.

Anyone who knew Bill, knew that he had a very kind heart. He loved to help people with whatever kind of job if he could. Bill painted houses, chopped down trees, delivered a pool table from the roof of his car (not very well), and did any other favor that might pop up for someone. For many years Bill loved his giant aquarium with many different fish, and as of late will be missed by his dog Turbo and adopted cat.

Bill is survived by his loving wife Brianna, children Nathan, Alex (fiancé Chelsey Jetsel and her son), Zachary, Bella, and Paxten. He is also survived by his parents, Sharon Rost (Homer Wong), Kirk Josey (Nancy), and his siblings Tracy Gunter (Shawn), Sonia Lowry (Dayv), Timothy Josey (Amber), and Amanda Williams (Aaron), as well as many nieces and nephews on both sides of his family.

We know that Bill is at peace in a beautiful place, and he will always be loved and remembered by his family and friends until we meet again.

A celebration of life will be held spring 2026 for all of Bill’s family and friends. For further information briannacking@gmail.com (wife) or tracygunter18@gmail.com (sister).
