Robert Haggerty

Robert (Bob) Merritt Haggerty, 80, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 3, 2017 in Ontario, Or.
Born in Kellogg Id. July 14, 1936 his teen years were spent helping with the family farm in New Plymouth Id. He graduated class of 55' and shortly after married Arlene Pope of Emmett Id. He worked as a telegrapher for the Union Pacific Railroad, and later joined the Air Force in 1957. While stationed in Guam they adopted Kari Lee from Souel, Korea and brought her to the states in 1964. Later married Bonnie Ritter in October 1966 and was widowed by her in 2011. Following retirement from the Air Force he worked in communications and retired from the Army National Guard in 1993. Bob married Faye Schreck in August 2013. They enjoyed life together and loved traveling, tending to their flower garden, listening to music and dancing. Preceded in death by Father Russell Haggerty and Mother Ercell Bradley. He is survived by Brother Gene Haggerty (Gerry) and their children Russ and Lela, Faye Haggerty, Daughter Kari Hernandez (Sergio) and Grandchildren Vincent Baumhoff & Harmony Freter (Aaron).  Thank you to the staff of Brookdale for opening your hearts and being family to our loved ones.

Service Wednesday July 12th Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Fruitland ID at 10 AM.
