Mary Huffaker Obituary

Mary E. Huffaker, 71, passed away peacefully to her heavenly father at her home in Ontario on Tuesday January 7, 2020. Mary was born November 15, 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was second of six children born to Daniel Kenneth Ogles II and June Chytraus Ogles. She married the love of her life Hal Huffaker in the Salt Lake City Temple November 22, 1968 and they have one daughter Lisa Marie Jones and four grandchildren. She graduated from Cosmetology Beauty School in Orange County, California. She took several classes at TVCC and UVCC in Utah. Mary had a passion to paint and sold several of her paintings and loved to write poems, she took one of her poems and made a children book from it and had it published. She served in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints many years in her ward in various positions such as a teacher and especially enjoyed being the President of the Young Women Organization in her Ward and also served in the Stake Young Women. She was very knowledgeable in her faith and truly enjoyed teaching.

She is survived by her husband Hal Huffaker of 51 years, daughter Lisa Marie Jones and four grandchildren. Three brothers, Alan Ogles (Karen) Houston, Texas, Daniel Kenneth Ogles III (Gail) Atlanta, Georgia, Mark Ogles (Diana) Atlanta, Georgia, her Sister Jeanie Scavo, Salt Lake City, Utah, her Sister-in-law Kelly Ogles, Atlanta, Georgia and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Daniel K. Ogles II and June Chytraus Ogles and her dear brother Paul William Ogles. 

The family would like to give a special and heartfelt gratitude and Thank you to Dr Brett Johnson, Canyon Homecare and Hospice (Abbi, Sabine and Gail), Bishop Allen Montgomery, Sister Paulette Jensen and the Relief Society and Haren-Wood Funeral Chapel.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2020 at the Ontario Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1705 N.W. 4TH Ave, Ontario.

There will be a viewing at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be immediately following at the Evergreen Cemetery, 1155 Park Blvd, Ontario.
