Obituary  Send Flowers  Condolences  Photographs  Video Tribute
Jessica Jensen Edwards passed away on February 24, 2010 at Saint Alphonsus Hospital in Boise, Idaho. Jessica was born February 9, 1979 in Logan, Utah. She was the daughter of Lynn and Paulette Jensen. She moved to Ontario with her family in 1983. She graduated from Ontario High School in 1997.
Jessica loved music. She was a beautiful pianist, an organist and sang in school and community choirs. Jessica was a member of the LDS Church and became the organist for her ward at age 15 until she left for college. She attended Ricks College. Jessica loved to play for choirs and musical groups, weddings and other churches. Music was a big part of her life and she shared her talents unselfishly.
Jessica married her high school sweetheart and best friend, Stephen Edwards on April 24, 1999. They had one son, Spencer William Edwards. He was born prematurely at the University of Utah Hospital. He weighed 1 lb 7 oz and Jessica devoted her life to caring for him. She adored her son and was a wonderful mother. Her home was filled with love.
Jessica was diagnosed with Lupus at age 16. In 2003 a dear family friend, Linda Clark donated a kidney to Jessica. This gift allowed her more time to build many special memories with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen, her son Spencer, her parents, Lynn and Paulette Jensen of Ontario; sisters Tirsa (Shon) Rooks of Emmett and Sara (Stephen) Gibson of Boise; brothers Matthew of Salt Lake City and Andrew (Jana) of Columbia, MO., by many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to the dialysis staff at Davita where the wonderful nurses and technicians helped her during this past year and the staff at Saint Alphonsus who cared for her during her last days on earth.
Funeral services will be held at the LDS Stake Center at 1705 NW 4th Ave. in Ontario on Monday, March 1st at 11:00 am. There will be a viewing at Haren-Wood Funeral Chapel on Sunday, Feb. 28 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm and prior to the funeral service from 10:00 am - 10:45 am.  Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of the Haren-Wood Funeral Chapel, Ontario.
